
WhistleDrive enters urban logistics with 5000 trucks, 20 clients
Employee mobility provider WhistleDrive has
announced foray into the niche urban mobility market backed by 5000+ truck
fleet, and a portfolio of 20 medium, large clientele.
This foray expands
WhistleDrive services portfolio as technology-enabled employee transportation
and end-to-end logistics for corporates and enterprises.
Before Covid-19
Before Covid-19,
the Hyderabad based, WhistleDrive was a technology-enabled employee
transportation company, providing fleet and employee transportation management
software to the corporates covering 4 cities, 75+ clients, 1.5 lakh+ trips per
month. The company had raised Series B funding of ₹72 crore in Sept 2019 and
series A funding of ₹5 crore in the pre-pandemic time.

We are currently, focusing on mid mile, last mile deliveries in Intracity &
intrastate, and adding on Line Haul operations that can be operated within a

The WhistleTruck
business is part of WhistleDrive's new growth strategy, tapping into the rising
e-commerce and delivery service businesses, this new move will also help offset
the severe pandemic impact in the employee transportation business.

logistics market
“In the logistics
market, supply elasticity is the key, any player with elastic supply power will
be able to scale, Just In the last 6 months, we have onboarded more than 5000
trucks on our platform,” Rakesh said.
Having raised its
Series B funding last fiscal, the company is not planning to raise new funds,
at least for the next 12-18 months. WhistleDrive is actively hiring domain
experts in the logistics industry.
