United States has proposed to set up its office hub in the Port city of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Washington has established a similar hub in Ahmedabad a few years ago. US has also agreed to instal an incubator centre similar to the one at Delhi.

US Consul General (Hyderabad) Joel Reifman, along with a delegation, called on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his camp office in Tadepalli. The US consul general proposed the project to the Chief minister and the latter had given his consent instantly.

The consul general told the chief minister that they visited Vizag and were satisfied with the infrastructure facilities in the Port City. “Ahmedabad being the only city in India to have an American Hub so far, Vizag will be the first choice in South India for setting up another one,’’ he said.
