golden job opportunity for women in the shipping sector by Anglo Eastern
Shipping and National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI)
National
Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI) has introduced a special welfare scheme for
women called "NUSI Stree Shakti
Support" on the occasion of International Women's Day on 8th March
2023. This initiative is going to be implemented by NUSI to encourage women to
enter the shipping sector for maximum participation of women.

women trainees from all over the country were financially supported by NUSI for
the GP Rating Course which started on 1st July 2023 at "Training Ship Rehman". After
completion of training, they are employed by shipping industries. This is an
important step taken by NUSI towards gender equality. Applications for July
2024 "NUSI Academy Goa Branch" are to be submitted by 31st March
2024.
They
will be guaranteed employment on board by Anglo Eastern Shipping Company and
trained by NUSI at a very low cost.
Mr.
Milind Kandalgaonkar, General Secretary-cum-Treasurer of NUSI, has appealed to
the young women of our country to take advantage of this golden opportunity.
