Chantiers de l’Atlantique has reportedly floated out MSC World America and
began constructing the third World-class vessel of the same brand at its yard
in Saint-Nazaire, France.
MSC World America was floated out of dry dock on 7 April and will now undergo the final outfitting ahead of
its christening at MSC Cruises’ new dedicated terminal at Florida’s PortMiami
on 9 April 2025.
The 22-deck-high vessel will accommodate more than
6,700 passengers in more than 2,600 suites and guest cabins and offer more than
40,000 sq. meters of public space.This will include seven distinct districts with lounges, bars,
restaurants, and entertainment venues—all tailored to North America’s passenger
source market.
Like MSC World Europa, MSC World America will be powered by LNG and
linked to shore power.
It will boast a
plumb bow vertically from the waterline and a Y-shaped af, which opens onto an
outdoor promenade

team at Chantiers de l’Atlantique.
