For upgrading the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority
Hospital into a 100-bedded multi-specialty hospital on Public Private
Partnership (PPP) mode,
Dr Namjoshi Hospital has emerged the winning bidder
with 7.8 percent revenue share according to the officials.
Dr Namjoshi Hospital runs four hospitals in Juhu,
Andheri East, Kurla and Malad, each with a capacity of 100 beds. These
hospitals operate in the name of Criticare Multispeciality Hospital and provide
medical treatments for various specialities ranging from general pathology to
cardiology, gynaecology, orthopaedics, trauma care, etc.
The 12 ports owned
by the Union government have started privatising the hospitals run by them for
employees under PPP mode.
Mumbai Port Authority was the first to
undertake this plan.
It is a good move that the authorities have given
importance to their employees who actually are men on the spot of work. After all, a healthy employee is a good
productive one.
