J & K Tourism Gets A New Boost From FHRAIs’ Meet After 4 Decades. Mushtaq Chaya Honoured With Hospitality Excellence Award

After 4 decades, The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), one of the third largest associations in the world in collaboration with the Hotel & Restaurant Association of Northern India (HRANI), organized a landmark Stakeholders’ Meet at the Radisson Collection Hotel & Spa, Srinagar. The event aimed at promoting innovative partnerships, advocating for policy changes, and tourism development in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

A standout moment during the event was the presentation of the Hospitality Excellence Award to Mr Mushtaq Chaya, Chairman and Managing Director of the Mushtaq Group of Hotels and Chairman of the Hoteliers Club Srinagar. The award was given in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the hospitality sector in Jammu & Kashmir. The award was presented by the Chief Guest, Mr. Vikramjit Singh.

“We are delighted to honour Mr Mushtaq Chaya for his significant contributions to the hospitality industry in Jammu & Kashmir,” said Mr Pradeep Shetty, President of FHRAI. “His dedication and commitment have played an important role in promoting tourism and establishing Jammu & Kashmir as a prime destination for visitors. It is our privilege to recognize such outstanding efforts.”

In his address, Mr Shetty emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in driving growth in the tourism sector. He also announced the upcoming Hospitality Investors Summit in Jammu & Kashmir, which will provide a platform for leading brands and hospitality entrepreneurs to explore investable projects and learn about the government’s investor-friendly policies. Additionally, he extended an invitation to all stakeholders to attend the 54th Annual Convention of FHRAI, where discussions on promoting tourism and fostering partnerships in the hospitality sector will continue.

The Stakeholders’ Meet brought together key industry players, including hoteliers, restaurateurs, investors, and policymakers, to discuss the challenges and opportunities in Jammu & Kashmir’s tourism landscape. The event highlighted the region’s immense potential and underscored the need for concerted efforts to unlock it.
