Chennai
Port Authority allocated an amount of Rs. 31,50,000/- to Rotary Club of Chennai
Towers Charitable Trust for its CSR project of providing Smart Vision glasses
powered by the latest technologies, including AI and Machine Vision to give
voice assistance to 100 people with uncorrectable blindness. The MOU for
this project was signed on 19.02.2024.
In
an event held today, Shri Sunil Paliwal, I.A.S, Chairperson, Chennai Port
Authority and Chairman Kamarajar Port Limited handed over these glasses to 25
beneficiaries from various walks of life in the presence of Shri S. Viswanathan
I.A.S. Deputy Chairperson, Chennai Port Authority, Rtn. Binoy Pillai,
President, Rotary Club of Chennai Towers and other HODs and officials of
Chennai Port Authority.
