Eastaway conducts Crew Conference at Taj Kolkata- Theme “NAVIGATING CHANGE”.

Eastaway (India) Private Limited, a subsidiary of Eastaway Ship Management Pvt Ltd, Singapore, a unit of X-Press Feeders having their Crew Manning office at 215 Atrium, 9^th Floor, B Wing, Andheri East, Mumbai conducted 3 days Crew Conference for their sea staff officers on 6^th-7^th-8^th May 2024 at Kolkata, prominently called the City of Joy.

The theme of the Crew Conference was very apt in today’s context that is “NAVIGATING CHANGE”.

A large number of Eastaway officers attended the Conference from India, Eastern Europe & Sri Lanka. The event had attendees from various backgrounds and interests come together to discuss strategies for adapting to an ever-changing world. The Seminar began with a warm welcome address from Ms Celia Kang Shiwei, Head of Crew Manning- Global; Capt. Vinay Singh Chauhan, head of Crew Manning Eastaway India; followed by an Opening Speech from Capt. RS Minhas, Managing Director Eastaway Singapore.  

Through insightful discussions, interactive workshops, and sharing experiences, all gained valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities presented by change.

On the whole, the seminar served as a platform for exchanging ideas, sharing experiences, and equipping attendees to navigate change with confidence.

It was a platform whereby sea and shore staff could engage with each other in a more relaxed setting.

It also allowed the sea staff to speak about the challenges they faced while onboard and this allowed the management team to relook into some of the procedures and systems which Eastaway is using.

4.     Interactive Workshops: Interactive workshops provided all with practical tools and techniques for navigating change. These workshops lead to learning, resilience-building, adaptive leadership, and change management.

5.     Engaging Presentations: Engaging presentations showcased real-world examples of successful change navigation. Speakers shared their experiences, challenges, and lessons learned, inspiring and motivating attendees to embrace change.

6.     Key Topics: Key topics included resilience, collaboration, and innovation. Participants learned how resilience can help in bouncing back from all sorts of setbacks, how embracing innovation can lead to positive change, and how collaboration can foster collective adaptation and progress.

7.     Empowerment and Networking: The event allowed good networking opportunities. The Top Management presented an overview of the company's progress, the status of ongoing innovative projects, and future goals.

 This communication served to inform and align employees with the company's vision, inducing a sense of purpose within the organization.
