Full
access to the OnDemand platform is automatically granted to Drewry Forecaster
subscribers, by sector, representing a significant enhancement to these
‘flagship’ subscription services which until now have been predominantly
delivered in PDF and MS Excel format. OnDemand will initially cover Dry Bulk,
LNG, LPG, Crude and Product Tanker sectors, with Container, Chemical and other
niche shipping sectors launching in 2H-24.
The platform is a fully-integrated
and dynamic resource, combining fleet, trade, rates and valuation data with
Drewry’s proprietary AIS analytics capability. Market and fleet data is updated
monthly and AIS data weekly, complementing the in-depth market analysis and
forecasts and ensuring the most complete and current picture of market and its
future development is provided.
The launch of OnDemand represents a
significant milestone for Drewry,” said Navin Kumar, Director, Drewry Maritime
Research. “As
well as providing a resource that is updated in real-time, we wanted to put
control in the hands of our subscribers giving them flexibility to filter,
compare and visualise all the key maritime research data points by
sector-specific parameters such as fleet, supply/demand, rates, values,
commodity type, vessel category and age.”
“Another
key feature of the platform worth highlighting is Latest Market Data,” continued
Kumar. “Here we have carefully curated all the data and resources available
against each shipping sector into five sub-segments; Shipping, Demand, Charter
Market, Asset Market and Advanced Options. Advanced Options incorporates a
custom data visualiser, giving subscribers the flexibility to select and
compare the data points and variables of particular interest to them from the
full data set available. While the
platform offers a significant enhancement to our standard Forecaster service
offering, anyone can register on the platform and access complimentary areas
such as; Latest Opinions, the Sector-at-a-glance dashboard and Discussion
Board.”
