Starting with a pilot project in both cities, the companies plan to
deliver 500 electric vehicles monthly, with a future goal of doubling the fleet
to meet rising demand for sustainable, quick-delivery solutions.
This collaboration underscores a shared vision of
promoting eco-friendly transportation in urban delivery services. By
integrating Mayuri e-carts into Porter’s fleet, both companies aim to address
the increasing demand for small, sustainable vehicles for last-mile deliveries,
particularly in Bangalore, where rapid expansion is anticipated. In addition to enhancing Porter’s EV
offerings, the partnership is expected to create jobs for drivers and logistics
personnel. Drivers operating Mayuri e-carts through Porter can earn a
guaranteed minimum daily income of₹1,100, with the potential to earn up to₹4,000
per day. Saera will also ensure that drivers’ vehicle EMIs are covered,
providing stability and secure employment for workers.
Nitin Kapoor, Managing Director
of Saera Electric Auto, expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating,
“Partnering with a leading logistics provider like Porter allows us to tap into
the Bangalore market and showcase Mayuri’s expertise in commercial electric
vehicles. Our e-Loaders and e-Delivery Vans cater to the growing need for
efficient, eco-friendly transport solutions for both short-distance quick
commerce and intra-city deliveries.”
As one of India’s top electric three-wheeler OEMs, Saera Electric Auto
has a strong nationwide presence with over 750 service touchpoints and has sold
21,443 units in the first nine months of the year.
This
partnership with Porter represents a significant step in advancing eco-friendly
logistics and expanding Saera’s reach in India’s urban markets.
