Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with
GBH International Contracting LLC (GBHIC), a company based in Dubai, United
Arab Emirates. The companies have signed the MoU to collaborate and explore
business opportunities in the civil infrastructure sector in GCC Countries. Earlier,
the company had signed an MoU with Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) for
‘Construction of internal flyovers to enhance the smooth evacuation of cargo
and eliminate the 11-level crossings that currently hinder the free flow of
traffic at VPA.’.
On 31st December 2024, the
company emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) from Central Railway for the design,
supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the 132/55 KV Traction
Substation, Sectioning Post (SPs), and Subsectioning Post (SSPs) in the 2 x 25
KV Traction System (Scott Connected Transformer) of Bhusaval—Khandwa Sections
of Central Railway to meet the 3000 MT loading target on EPC mode.
The
cost of work is Rs 137.16 crore, including applicable taxes. The order is to be
executed within 24 months. In the Q2FY25 earnings, revenue showed a marginal
decline at Rs 4869.2 crore. For the
quarter ended September 2024, as compared to the corresponding quarter of last
year. The net profit of the company stood at Rs 302.5 crore from Rs 370 crore,
a decline of -18.26% YoY. Operating Profit reported also reported a decline
to Rs 552.5 crore from Rs 593.5 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.
