The event, organised by the
Association for Industrial Development (AID), will take place from February 7
to 9 at Nagpur University’s campus off Amravati Road. Highlighting the region’s industrial progress, Gadkari, while briefing
the media, stated, “Significant investments in steel industries are being made
in Nagpur and Gadchiroli divisions. With the chief minister Devendra Fadnavis’
presence at the event, more investment agreements are likely to be finalised.” He
added that Gadchiroli, one of the most underdeveloped districts, is on the path
to becoming Maharashtra’s top revenue-generating district within the next five
years.
The minister also informed that 26-27 Falcon business jets will be
completely assembled at the Dassault Reliance Aerospace plant here in the next
two years.
‘Advantage Vidarbha 2025′ aims to
position Vidarbha as a global industrial hub by showcasing its strategic advantages,
connectivity, and growth potential. National and international policymakers,
investors, industrialists, entrepreneurs, and academicians will participate in
the summit. The city MP emphasised his
commitment to making Nagpur the logistics capital of India. He highlighted
the ongoing development of Ajni railway station and the repurposing of funds
allocated to the Sindhi Dry Port. He also mentioned the large-scale expansion
of MIHAN, which was proposed to the CM, along with a Rs 670-crore dairy project
by Mother Dairy.
The event will also focus on various sectors, including steel, mining,
tourism, bamboo, IT, logistics, education, and renewable energy. Special
emphasis will be placed on fostering the startup ecosystem.
The event will feature prominent dignitaries such as Union commerce and
industry minister Piyush Goyal, state revenue minister Chandrashekhar
Bawankule, and Maha industry minister Uday Samant, apart from CM Devendra
Fadnavis. Business stalwarts, including JSW Group chairman Sajjan Jindal,
Lloyds Steel MD B Prabhakaran, and startup leaders like Aman Gupta (boAt) and
Vaibhav Kapoor (Pristyn Care), will also participate.
Union minister Nitin
Gadkari called upon industries from Vidarbha’s districts — Wardha, Amravati,
Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, and Bhandara — to participate actively in the event and
contribute to the region’s development. He outlined plans to promote Vidarbha
as a preferred investment destination with infrastructural support and
favourable policies. On a concluding note, the Union minister and other
dignitaries paid tribute to the victims of the explosion at Bhandara Ordnance
Factory. They also unveiled the official
Advantage Vidarbha T-shirt and encouraged stakeholders to actively engage
in the event to leverage its immense opportunities for industrial growth.
The mega event will host over 300 stalls, with 100 reserved for MSMEs,
and to date, 170 have been booked. Govt departments such as SEBI, CBIC, GST,
and the ministry of steel and mines will showcase services alongside private
enterprises. The organisers have called on Vidarbha’s
industries to come forward and support this milestone event aimed at
transforming the region into a hub of industrial excellence.
