The Indian
Institute of Technology, IIT Kanpur and the Indian Navy have formally entered
into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Naval Headquarters in New
Delhi.
The agreement signifies their mutual
dedication to advancing technology development, fostering innovative solutions,
and collaborating on joint research and development initiatives.
Rear Admiral K Srinivas, Assistant Chief of
Material (Dockyard & Refits), and Professor S Ganesh, Director of IIT
Kanpur, were the signatories of this MoU.

knowledge, fostering strategic partnerships, and contributing to the nation's
defense capabilities through academic and technological prowess," says
Professor S Ganesh, Director, IIT Kanpur.

challenges faced by the Indian Navy," Professor S Ganesh asserted.
The Indian Navy and IIT Kanpur share a
common interest in academic exchange of scientific research activities in the
field of Engineering related to defense technologies. The MoU would serve as a broader framework
and enable both sides to enhance capacity building, provide solutions to
field-level issues and enhance training effectiveness through exchange of
faculty and guest lectures
