After Ahmedabad, it is the turn of Varanasi
to get a bullet train project. The National High speed Rail Corporation has started
the survey to facilitate the commencing of the next bullet train project
between Varanasi and Kolkata
The portion of the proposed Varanasi-Howrah Bullet Train
Project that falls in Bhojpur and Buxar is being surveyed on the ground by the
National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited. Similarly, the personnel who came to survey in Udwantnagar received mixed
reactions from Bihar’s villagers according to media reports.
Udwantnagar in Bihar will become a rail,
road, and bullet train hub. The
process of acquiring land for the four-lane Asni-Udwantnagar and AraSasaram
sections of the Ara Ring Road has already begun. At the same time, efforts are
being made on the same route for a Bullet Train
Varanasi has two sets of Vandebharat train, an
international airport, cargo hub for inland water transport and string of
expressways connecting it various parts of Uttar Pradesh all built in the last
nine years. The railway track between Delhi and Kolkata via Varanasi is being
strengthened to run high speed trains. A
sum of Rs 7000 crores have been earmarked by the Railways for the Varanasi
Railway station development project.
