Chennai Port recorded a landmark performance of overallcargo handling of
3,40,583 Tonneson 27.01.2024, the major cargoes that contributed to the above
achievement viz., Bulk Cargo – 36,184 Tonnes, Liquid Bulk – 1,28,575 Tonnes and
Containerized Cargoes – 1,75,824Tonnes, surpassing the previous record handling of 3,12,459 Tonnes on 30.04.2021.
