The All India Major Ports Shuttle Badminton and Carrom tournaments for Men & Women, jointly organised by
Chennai Port Authority & Kamarajar Port Limited, under the aegis of Major Ports Sports Control
Board was held at Chennai from 07.02.2024 to 09.02.2024.
Major Port Teams from Chennai, Kamarajar, V.O.Chidambaranar,
Cochin, New Mangalore, Mumbai, Deendayal (Kandla), Visakhapatnam,
Paradip, Syama Prasad Mookerjee (Kolkata) and Jawaharlal Nehru participated in the 3 day
event, held under Open, above 45 and above 50 categories.
On behalf of VOC Port Badminton Team, Shri J.Rojers, secured gold
medal in the 50 plus open singles category, Shri A.Douglas Ponraj, secured
Silver medal in the open men singles. The team also secured 2nd place in the
men’s team championship category.
