As a part of
safety initiative by Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla, FIRE MOCK DRILLS are
being conducted at various premises of DPA under the able guidance of Capt.
Pradeep Mohanty, Dy. Conservator. This includes offices at new Kandla, offices
at Administrative building, Gopalpuri Hospital and CISF barracks. This fire
mock drill was conducted at Seva Sadan-3 on 04/06/2024 at New Kandla, wherein
all the office staff was evacuated on the dummy fire call the evacuation was
done systematically and in disciplined manner, while the fire brigade performed
rescue during the call.
The fire brigade
of DPA also demonstrated of “how to use” various fire-fighting equipment’s and
“what care should be taken” in case of any fire takes place in office premises.
The drills were conducted under the leadership of Fire-Cum-Safety Officer, Shri
Aseem Chakraborty, which was observed by senior officials of DPA and
suggestions were made thereof. DPA employees actively participated in the Mock
Drills.
