Visakhapatnam Port Authority, the premier port in the public
sector, made a double achievement for the year 2023. The port
achieved the 20th position in World Bank's Container Port Performance Index
(Index Point 62.29) in Global Rankings for the year 2023 for overall port
performance and the 19th Position in the Container Port Performance Index for
container terminal.
This
remarkable achievement underscored the port's commitment to operational
excellence and strategic importance in global trade, said a port release on
Monday 17 June.
