In line with its commitment to digital innovation, Air India has selected IBS Software’s iCargo solution. This comprehensive platform integrates various aspects of cargo management, from sales to billing, into a single system. By adopting the iCargo platform, Air India seeks to streamline processes and improve decision-making, ensuring more efficient and effective cargo operations.

Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial and Transformation Officer at Air India, emphasized the initiative’s importance, stating, “Air India is on a transformation journey to reaffirm its position as a global leader in aviation and lay the foundations for future growth. Air cargo is a key driver of our roadmap, and technology will be at the core of it.”

This partnership is timely as Air India undergoes a digital overhaul of its core businesses, including passenger services, fleet management, and cargo operations. The iCargo platform will play a pivotal role in this transformation.

Subsequent phases will introduce additional value-added capabilities, further enhancing cargo operations as Air India aims to handle ten million tonnes of air cargo per year by 2030. This strategic partnership highlights Air India’s dedication to leveraging advanced technology to drive growth and maintain a competitive edge in the global aviation market. As Air India expands its operations, the iCargo platform will ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable cargo operations.

The collaboration between Air India and IBS Software marks a significant milestone in the airline’s efforts to modernize its operations and establish itself as a leader in the global air cargo industry. This partnership is expected to deliver substantial benefits for both Air India and the broader Indian aviation market.
