AMU VC Launched the Plantation Campaign Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam

The Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor, Prof Naima Khatoon 13 July inaugurated a large scale plantation drive under the national campaign, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (Plant4Mother). The drive has been launched by the University’s Department of Lands and Gardens to promote environmental sustainability and spread forestation on AMU campus.

Prof. Khatoon emphasized the critical role of trees in combating drastic climate change, preserving biodiversity and ensuring a healthy ecosystem for future generations. Each tree we plant today is a step towards a sustainable future, she remarked. She highlighted the University’s commitment to environmental conservation and urged everyone to participate actively in such initiatives.
