The statistics for
imported containers show an increase of 15.72%, totaling 271,465 TEUs compared
to 234,592 TEUs last year. On the other hand, the statistics for exported
containers decreased by 2.50% to 243,758 TEUs, compared to 250,003 TEUs in the
corresponding period of 2023.The total general cargo recorded was 701,606 tons,
solid bulk cargo recorded 4,482,634 tons, and liquid bulk cargo recorded
15,349,511 tons. The ports received
506,016 cattle heads, marking a growth of 127.60% compared to 222,327 cattle
heads in the same period of 2023.
The total number of
handled containers was 645,019 TEUs, translating to a decrease of 14.40%
year-on-year. Additionally, transshipment containers decreased by 51.73%,
reaching 129,797 TEUs compared to 268,901 TEUs in 2023.
Mawani's maritime
traffic decreased by 11.24% in July, recording 908 ships, while the number of
passengers recorded a fall of 31.80%, reaching 52,191 passengers.Furthermore, the number of vehicles saw a
decrease of 8.64%, reaching 90,471 vehicles compared to 99,026 vehicles last
year.
