Hindi Fortnight was organized at Chennai Port Authority from 27th August to 09th September 2024. “Hindi Diwas” celebration was jointly organized by Chennai Port Authority and Kamarajar Port Limited on 09th September 2024. The program started with 'Tamil Thai Vazthu'. Smt V. Rajini, Assistant Director, Hindi Teaching Scheme, Ministry of Home Affairs, Chennai is the chief guest of the celebration.
Shri Indranil Hazra, Secretary, Chennai Port Authority, in his Welcome speech highlighted the historical aspects of the official language and inspired everyone to work in Hindi. He Welcomed the guests and employees present and congratulated the winners of the competitions on Hindi Day.
The fourteenth issue of 'Sagar Saloni' home magazine was released during Hindi Diwas.. During his presidential address, Shri. Sunil Paliwal, I.A.S, Chairperson Chennai Port Authority expressed that Hindi has been established as the simplest and easiest language and link language of this country. Shri S. Vishwanathan, IAS, Dy.Chairperson Chennai Port Authority, while wishing Hindi Day, appealed to all the dignitaries present to do their official daily work in Hindi.
Smt. J.P. Irene Cynthia, IAS, Managing Director, Kamarajar Port Limited, in her address, while narrating her experiences, stressed upon the dignitaries present to comply with our constitutional obligation towards Hindi.
Smt V.Rajni expressed her views. While presiding over the program, she congratulated everyone on Hindi Day and said that Hindi is our official language and we should make efforts to make it the national language.
There are different states in our country and different states have different languages. Along with giving importance to the mother tongue, expressed her views on the need for a national language.
The winning participants of the competitions like singing, newspaper reading, one-minute speech, technical word writing, etc. organized for officers and employees from 27th August to 09th September 2024 were awarded.
The function ended after the vote of thanks by Senior Assistant Secretary Smt. S. Aruna and the national anthem.
