Gupta, Founder of Maritime SheEO, delivered a compelling opening address on Day
4 of the World Maritime University’s (WMU) Maritime Week Conference 2024, held
from August 27-30 in Malmö, Sweden. The conference, centered around the theme "Beyond
Horizons: Maritime Sustainability," gathered industry leaders to explore
sustainable practices and innovations in the maritime sector.
As a leading advocate for diversity, Ms Gupta addressed the current challenges
in the maritime industry, emphasizing that innovation, resilience, and
sustainability are crucial for overcoming these obstacles. Her keynote
underscored the importance of the supply chain, highlighted the impact of
current geopolitical issues, and addressed the ongoing efforts toward decarbonization
and digitization in the industry. Throughout her speech, she reiterated the
significance of resilience and collaboration in driving progress.
Sanjam’s

The next major event, The Maritime SheEO Conference 2024, will be held on
November 15, 2024, in Mumbai. This one-day event, the world's largest
conference dedicated to diversity in maritime, will bring together
international experts, including WMU Professors Prof. Max Mejia and Prof. Ronan
Long, to advance the global conversation on diversity and inclusion in the
maritime industry.
