The summit’s success is expected to catalyze further investments in
Telangana’s AI ecosystem, building on the momentum created by Chief
Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s inauguration address.
Minister Sridhar Babu outlined three key strategies that will drive Telangana
towards its goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy:
1.
Centres of Excellence (CoEs): Establishing vertical-specific CoEs focusing on
critical sectors such as cybersecurity, semiconductors, and finance to drive
innovation and growth.
2.
AI for Grassroots: Setting up AI innovation centres in tier-2 and tier-3 cities to bridge
the urban-rural divide and democratize access to AI technologies.
3.
Building Trust in AI: Implementing comprehensive frameworks for AI governance to ensure
transparency, accountability, and ethical AI development.
The summit also featured initiatives to encourage grassroots innovation
in AI and machine learning. The Machine Learning and Artificial
Intelligence Technology Hub (MATH), a collaborative effort between the
Centre’s Department of Science and Technology and T-Hub, announced winners of
its hackathon and startup pitch competitions:
