He submitted a memorandum to Aditya Mishra, chairman of Land Port
Authority of India, MHA, department of border management in New Delhi on
September 18. In the memorandum, the MP expressed gratitude to the MHA for
setting up the first land port in the state which was inaugurated on May 4 last
year. “On this September 14, I
personally paid a visit to this port. During the visit, I observed a number of
issues that must be addressed so as to optimise the potential and efficiency of
the port and its effective functioning,” the MP said.
He also said efforts must be made to ensure uninterrupted power supply
to the entire campus. Opening of a bank
and ATM in the port is a must for foreign exchange and other banking
activities, he pointed out.
