World Public Transportation Day: Gujarat’s green transport vision unveiled

“Simple, modern, fast, safe, and user-friendly for seamless travel,” Sanghavi emphasized, describing the introduction of double-decker and Volvo buses for intercity travel. These initiatives aim to ensure comfortable long-distance travel and connect remote locations.

Gujarat is expanding its metro and Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) networks to improve city connectivity and reduce travel time. Sanghavi noted, “We are focusing on eco-friendly transport solutions like electric buses to achieve zero carbon emissions.” Simplifying public transport systems is a priority to enhance the ease of doing business and improve the travel experience. “We are embracing technology to make transport systems more efficient and sustainable,” Sanghavi added.
