Guava
cultivation in India has seen steady growth in recent years. Farmers have adopted
modern farming techniques and high-yielding varieties, leading to increased
production and land allocation for guava cultivation. This growth is fueled by
both domestic and international demand for this fruit."
According to Jaiswal, the European market has high
demand for the guavas from India. "The demand for Indian guava is strong
both domestically and internationally. Our main export markets include Europe,
UK and the Middle East. These regions value the superior quality and taste of
Indian guavas. As a company, we primarily focus on international markets,
exporting a significant portion of our guava production to meet the growing
global demand."
The logistical
situation is also challenging, despite the freight being sent via air:
"Prices this season have been relatively stable, with minor fluctuations
due to market dynamics. Compared to previous seasons, prices are slightly
higher, reflecting increased demand and higher production costs. We anticipate a strong conclusion to the
guava season. However, we are closely monitoring global air freight conditions,
which may impact timely delivery to certain markets. Despite these
challenges, we remain committed to providing high-quality guavas to our global
customers," Jaiswal concludes.
