underscores India’s efforts to bolster maritime collaboration and enhance
bilateral ties within the region, the officials noted.
During their four-day stay, the ship’s crew will
engage with the Maldives’ Coast Guard (MNDF-CG) in a series of professional
interactions. These interactions will focus on enhancing capabilities in Marine
Pollution Response (MPR), Maritime Search and Rescue (M-SAR), and Maritime Law
Enforcement. The agenda also includes
cross-deck training sessions, collaborative discussions, and friendly sports
events, reflecting the shared commitment to maritime safety and security.
The deployment will also underscore environmental
stewardship with National Cadet Corps (NCC) personnel aboard a Coast Guard ship
actively participating in an environment protection awareness programme,
officials sadi. Conducted in
collaboration with local youth organisations, this initiative aligns with
India’s ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyan,’ a campaign dedicated to conserving marine
ecosystems.
