The 18th edition of the
All-India Technical event “Transtech 2025” was organized by Tolani Maritime
Institute (TMI), Pune & Institute of Marine Engineers (India), Student
Chapter, TMI, Pune in association with Institute of Marine Engineers (India),
Pune Branch & The Institution of Engineers (India), Pune Local Centre and
Tolani Maritime Institute’s Alumni Association (TMIAN) from 4th to 6th March 2025,
at TMI Campus.
The technical carnival of Tolani
Maritime Institute “Transtech 2025” portraying this year's theme, ‘Blue
Economy 4.0: Harnessing Innovation for a Sustainable Maritime Future’,
began on 4th March 2025 with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Mr. Deependra
Singh Bisen, Deputy Director General of Shipping, Govt. of India, the Guest
Speaker, Mr. Vaibhav Nagarkar, Owner of consulting firm Inspiration & Mr.
Sanjeev Ogale, Chairman of the Institute of Marine Engineers (IMEI), Pune
Chapter, followed by the lamp lighting ceremony and the Vandana of goddess
Saraswati.
The Principal of TMI, Dr. Sanjeet Kanungo shared his thoughts in his welcome address and introduced Transtech 2025 as the official platform for the professionals of tomorrow from Maritime Training Institutes and Engineering Colleges across India to showcase their talent and churn out new ideas for the future of the maritime sector. This was followed by the address of Mr. Sanjeev Ogale, Chairman, Institute of Marine Engineers (I) Pune Chapter and Mr. Swapneil Tamhankar, Faculty in Charge, Institute of Marine Engineers (I), Student Chapter, TMI Pune.
