Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation
(MSRDC) has commenced a feasibility study for the Nashik-Vadhvan Port six-lane
expressway project (port connectivity). It is likely to be completed by May
2025. Following the feasibility study,
MSRDC will prepare a detailed project report (DPR) and invite bids for
construction works once the DPR is approved.
The project involves the construction of a 103 km
long six-lane expressway connecting Nashik district with Vadhvan Port in
Palghar district of Maharashtra at an estimated cost of Rs 180 billion. It is expected to include the
construction of two to three tunnels.
