Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal to Lay the Foundation Dedicate and Inaugurate
various Projects of IMU Kochi Campus and virtually inaugurate the Projects of
IMU’s Six Campuses
Kochi, 8th April 2025 – The Indian Maritime
University (IMU) Kochi Campus is set to host a landmark event to mark the
Laying of the Foundation, Dedication, and Inauguration of key projects at the
Kochi Campus, alongside virtual ceremonies for projects at IMU's other campuses
in Visakhapatnam, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai on 8th April 2025. The event
will be attended by distinguished dignitaries and leaders from the maritime
sector, highlighting IMU’s continued commitment to advancing both educational
excellence and infrastructural development.
The Chief Guest for the occasion will be Shri
Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways.
Accompanying him as Guest of Honour will be Shri Shantanu Thakur, Hon’ble
Minister of State, Ports, Shipping & Waterways.

This landmark occasion will mark a significant

Kaal Vision 2047 for India. The foundation laying and virtual inaugurations
will provide improved facilities for students, fostering academic excellence
and industry-aligned learning.
